FIABCI University Course
(Morning educational session)
This course is designed to provide an overview of the world of International Real Estate. But, the overview is with substance as to how to enter the field of international real estate, advantages and disadvantages to working in this area, and how you can benefit from this activity, financially. Coverage includes broad scope global issues, financial opportunities, details as to areas of real estate practice in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, etc. Appropriate focus on practices and cultural differences are also addressed.

Conducting the course will be Dr. Mark Lee Levine, Editor of "International Real Estate (Global Real Estate)", and full Professor and Director of the Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management, Daniels College of Business, University of Denver. Dr. Levine has lectured throughout the world on such topics as real estate, law, real estate securities and syndication, appraisal, estate planning, investment, tax aspects of real estate transactions, liability, business law, and international cultural issues. Levine holds many real estate or related designations and practices in the area of international real estate, not only as a professor, but as a businessman, broker, and attorney. ICREA Transnational Referral Course
(Afternoon educational session)
Learn how to effectively conduct transnational client referrals and increase your earning potential with this certification for brokers and sales agents interested in making and receiving client referrals for foreign buyers and sellers with ICREA's Transnational Referral Certification (TRC). Luke Romero,CIPS, is the instructor for the ICREA Transnational Referral Course. Luke graduated from Texas A&M University in May 1987, earning degrees in accounting and finance, with a specialization in real estate. Two years after graduation he entered the real estate market as a REALTOR¨ and principal in a structural and mechanical inspection company. He has owned and managed a residential construction firm. Luke earned the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) professional designation from NAR in 2003. He is President of the Houston (Texas) Council of FIABCI-USA; a member of The International Real Estate Federation; and Vice President, Marketing and Networking, for FIABCI.

Training available to any FIABCI Congress registrant or member of the Hawaii Association of REALTORS.¨ Certification may be earned only by those individuals affiliated with an ICREA Member Association.
